The mission of the Shepherd's Closet is to support the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, developed by Sofia Cavalletti and Gianna Gobbi, by assisting catechists in preparing the atrium environment and materials for the child, ages 3-12.
Our particular focus is serving those catechists, who * Have completed or are currently enrolled in formation courses with a nationally recognized CGS Formation leader. * Are National CGS Association members.
We invite you to browse through the Resources Links to find “hard to find” items, raw materials and unique resources. What we offer is subject to change due to the “experimental” nature of CGS and availability of resources.
In the “Characteristics of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd,” Sofia Cavalletti and the Consiglio wisely request that catechists make their own materials. Respectful of this, we offer only materials that are UNFINISHED.
The Shepherd’s Closet strives to offer resources consistent with materials in the atrium in Rome, reflective of changes recommended by the Consiglio in the Foglietto and in accord with the National Association Formation guidelines.
